Santa Rosa Farm
Our story begins in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, where Manuel Moreno purchased a farm and named it Santa Rosa.

Grown in the mountains, roasted by the sea.
More than a brand — Morenito Coffee is the story of our family, our land, and a tradition carried through three generations.
Morenito Coffee carries the spirit of Santa Rosa Farm — a story of family, resilience, land, and love passed from Manuel Moreno to Rolando Moreno, and now to Derick Moreno.
Our story begins in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, where Manuel Moreno purchased a farm and named it Santa Rosa.
In the rich mountains of Nicaragua, he planted more than coffee — he planted a legacy for his family.
In 1972, our family experienced tragedy, and Rolando Moreno was left without his dad at only 8 years old.
My grandmother entrusted Rolando with Santa Rosa Farm, and he carried that responsibility with pride and dedication.
Today, Derick Moreno continues the family legacy as the third generation caretaker of Santa Rosa.
Morenito Coffee connects the mountains of Matagalpa with the island life of Bokeelia, Florida.

Our story begins in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, where my grandfather, Manuel Moreno, purchased a farm and named it Santa Rosa. In the rich mountains of Nicaragua, he planted more than coffee — he planted a legacy for his family.
He was known as a man who helped others and cared deeply for the people around him. In 1972, our family experienced a tragedy during one of the most difficult times in Nicaragua’s history.
My father, Rolando Moreno, was left without his dad at only 8 years old. He was the middle child of five. In time, my grandmother entrusted him with Santa Rosa Farm, and he carried that responsibility with strength, pride, and dedication.
My father devoted his life to the farm and to preserving what had been started before him. In 2023, he passed away at the age of 62. What he left behind was more than land — he left a heritage of hard work, resilience, and love for family.

Today, I, Derick Moreno, am honored to continue that legacy as the third generation caretaker of Santa Rosa. I now live in Bokeelia, Florida, where I run Green Thumb Ranch and bring our family coffee from the mountains of Nicaragua to be roasted here on the island.
Our coffee is grown in the mountains of Matagalpa and roasted by the sea in Florida. That journey connects two places we call home and gives Morenito Coffee its identity.

“Every bag of Morenito Coffee carries a piece of our story — from Santa Rosa Farm in Nicaragua to the island life of Bokeelia, Florida.”
The name Morenito Coffee carries special meaning. It comes from our family name, Moreno, and it was also a name people affectionately called my father.
For us, Morenito is a tribute to where we come from, the family that came before us, and the tradition we are proud to continue.
Our roasts are inspired by life here on the ranch. Our four micro mini cows each represent a roast, bringing personality and warmth to every bag.

Bold, strong, and full of character.
Smooth, balanced, and dependable.
Easygoing, mellow, and comforting.
Rich, lively, and full of spirit.
We also look to the waters of Southwest Florida for blend inspiration, with names like Redfish, Tarpon, Snook, and Trout.
